: : :             scarifications and elongated features. Ancestral figures
: : :             , like these, were carved as prestige objects and their
: : :             role was to assert the chief's authority. The figure is
: : :             around 11" in height and is craved in the shape of
: : :             elongated form, standing on a circular base, with
: : :             slightly bent legs, hands resting on the abdomen and has
: : :             an elongated neck supporting a head with linear
