: I am looking for some help. I have access, through a friend, to several early harpoons (pre-Dorset I believe). One is a superb non-toggling harpoon, while the others are of a form which I have not been able to yet locate. These pieces are from a 1930's collection of primarily N. American flint, and I believe the Inuit pieces were obtained in trading or as oddities to be included in the collection. I am obtaining these pieces at a rock bottom price to include in my own collection. Is there anyone who could be of assistance in identifying these objects. I would be willing to send .jpegs if you can receive them. Thanks!

I may be able yo help you. I found a toggled rock harpoon point in Orange Co. CA I have done considerable research in this area. I would enjoy seeing a photo of your objects.
