Probably your only option at this point is thermoluminescence analysis. A small sample can be taken from some location on your pot and after spending several hundred dollars, you will know the age within possibly + or -10% One lab that comes to mind is at Dalhouise University, Halifax Nova Scotia. A much more practical solution is stylistic comparison with existing pottery of known age. Send a pot picture to the experts in South Africa.
