H. 71.5 cm. Private collection, Germany The construction of this instrument is the reverse of the Dhodro Banam. The neck points downward here as opposed to upward with the dhodro banam. A projection at the base of the head (which bears three eyes) is used to fix the string at its lower end. The upper end is tied to the penis-like neck of the instrument. Despite its similar appearance, this instrument does not belong to the Sarinda type. |
