Wood, leather, polychrome.
This mask was worn on the forehead, giving the wearer two faces, the real one and that of the mask. The treatment of the lips indicates that it represents a woman. Although this object was used by women and indicates high status, it could also have been used by men in certain dances and rituals to include a feminine association.
