This Jhankri is a sixty-two year old Tamang who lives in Kalché, Central Nepal.  Although he acknowledges the authority of the Buddhist lamas, he is also possessed  by a deity related to the Hindu Mahadéva. This ritual can only be performed by twins.  Photo: J.-P. Girolami, 1995.
