Fig. 5b (left) : First photographed by the English explorer Wyndham (pl. 38 [fig. 5 b]) in 1936, this sculpture, which comes from what was once the garden of the Tembura government buildings, was taken to the Khartoum museum by the Kronenbergs in 1958.
Fig. 5a (right) : This photo was taken in the museum in 1987, after the
sculpture had been exposed to the weather for sixty to eighty years.
