Fig. 11 : Photographed before 1932 by the English traveler Tucker, these two sculptures were part of a tomb located south of Tonj. At that time, the mound was still intact and the sculptures recently painted, which would indicate that the tomb was relatively recent. This photo was taken by the author in 1974.
